Wellbeing with Clare for homeopathy in Bath has been set up because of my enthusiasm for living in balance with Nature’s provision. I am a clear thinker and I enjoy the process of analytical thinking.
From my late 20’s I worked for several years in the Voluntary sector, first for a major overseas Charity in Bristol, then for a Crisis and Counselling Service for Young People in the Bath & North East Somerset region.
For 15 years I worked in Children’s Social Care as a support for children and young people. In this sector my specialisms were about accessing emotions, the effects of parental relationship breakdown, issues of attachment, keep safe work and bereavement support.
I am trained and experienced in working with people going through emotional crisis.
My Grandmother was a well-respected Homeopath and Bach Flower remedy practitioner, and while growing up at home we used remedies in our family, for friends, their animals and our pets.
My mother practised aromatherapy and manual lymphatic drainage in a hospice for many years, and one of my sisters currently works as a Kinesiologist and Neuro Development Therapist.
In choosing to work as a Homeopath, it feels right for me to bring together this family connection in health with my interests in the natural world, my understanding of people gained in a social context and with an on-going interest in the body’s innate intelligence.
My 4 years at The Contemporary College of Homeopathy in Bristol helped me recognise a vast range of symptoms and illnesses which can be helped by homeopathy – both for long-term, chronic conditions as well as for acute situations. For my continuing professional development I access Clinic practices, peer group discussions and trainings.
My yearly visits to George Vithoulkas’ Academy in Greece to sit in on his Clinic are a highlight of my year. George Vithoulkas, winner of the Alternative Nobel Prize 1996, is a leading international authority on Homeopathy.
An individualized approach
While it is offered on the NHS in certain parts of the country, homeopathy is used most often in a private homeopathic practice. This means that there is enough time and space to disclose the full picture of what is happening for you.
Such an approach includes an individualized homeopathic assessment of your physical, spiritual, mental and emotional symptoms and experiences.
The personal rapport established between patient and practitioner is a key part of the success of homeopathy.
My Qualifications and experience include
- B.A (Hons) Humanities (1st Class) 1989
- Certificate in Counselling Skills (CSCT) 1997
- Emotional Literacy (Post Graduate, Bristol Uni.) 2004
- NVQ4 Health & Social Care 2008
- Vithoulkas’ International Academy of Homeopathy, Greece – a once-yearly Summer school visit to the Academy to learn from Clinic practice.
- 4 Years at Contemporary College of Homeopathy (Bristol) Licentiate in Homeopathy 2017
- On-going 2-year academic programme from Vithoulkas in Classical Homeopathy. It is the only homeopathy course adopted as a Postgraduate Course by several medical universities from around the world.
“The long-term benefit of homeopathy to the patient is that it not only alleviates the presenting symptoms but it re-establishes internal order at the deepest levels” – George Vithoulkas
